1. Plugin Installation
Installation
- Download the plugin
.zipfile from the official source. - Go to your WordPress Dashboard → Plugins → Add New.
- Click Upload Plugin and select the
.zipfile. - Click Install Now, then Activate the plugin.
2. Installing Elementor (Required)
This plugin requires Elementor to function properly. If you don’t have it installed, follow these steps:
- Go to Plugins → Add New.
- Search for Elementor Website Builder.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
3. Adding the Typing Effect Widget
- Navigate to Pages → Add New (or edit an existing page).
- Click Edit with Elementor.
- In the Elementor panel, search for Typing Effect.
- Drag and drop the Typing Effect Widget onto the desired section.
- Customize the text, animations, and appearance from the widget settings.
4. Options & Settings
Basic Settings
- Text Content: Enter the text that will appear with the typing effect.
- Typing Speed: Adjust how fast the text is typed.
- Cursor Customization: Adjust the cursor’s color and vertical position (typewriting mode).
- Link Option: Each displayed message can have a clickable link.
Display Effects
- Animation Mode:
- Normal
- Typewriting
- Fade In
- Slide from Left/Right
- Glow & Shadow: Enable glow or text shadow effects.
- Glow Types:
- Glow Uniform: Steady glow during the animation.
- Glow Blink: Glow blinks at set intervals (adjustable timing).
- Glow by Word: Cycles glow word-by-word with adjustable speed and cycle delay.
- Hover Interaction: Optionally pause effects on mouse hover.
- Effect Combination: Effects can be combined, but not all combinations overlap perfectly in all cases.
- Effect Loading: Effects are initialized when they enter the user’s viewport.
Scheduling Messages
- Enable Scheduled Messages: Toggle on to set different texts based on time.
- Daily Intervals: Show text within specific daily hours (timezone relative to the server).
- New in version 1.1: Choose specific days of the week (e.g., Monday, Friday). If no day is selected, the interval applies to all days.
- Date-Based Scheduling: Set start and end dates/times for custom messages.
Cursor Thickness (New in 1.2)
- Cursor Thickness: Fine-tune the caret width via Style → Cursor Style → Cursor Thickness.
- Per Instance: The thickness setting applies per widget instance, so multiple widgets on the same page can have different caret widths.
Content & Formatting
- Text Formatting: HTML tags are not supported in the content field.
- New Lines: Press Enter to create a new line.
Shortcode Support
[ current_date format="d M Y" ]– Displays the current date in the specified format.[ current_time format="H:i" gmt="2" ]– Displays the current time with optional GMT offset.[ countdown date="2025-12-31 23:59" ]– Static countdown to the specified date/time.[ latest_post_title_raw cat="category-slug" ]– Returns the latest post title and link for the given category.
5. Troubleshooting & Support
- Elementor cache: Go to Elementor → Tools → Regenerate Files & Data.
- Minification cache: Clear caches in your optimization plugin (e.g., Fast Velocity Minify) and browser (hard refresh).
- Multiple instances: From v1.2, cursor thickness is isolated per widget. If styles look shared, ensure you are editing the correct widget and clear caches.
- Elementor not seeing changes: Deactivate/activate the plugin to invalidate OPcache; ensure no duplicate/Lite plugin overrides the widget.

6. Plugin Updates
Starting with version 1.1, the plugin notifies you automatically in the WordPress Dashboard when a new version is available.
- Look for the message in Plugins when a new version is released.
- Download the updated plugin archive from your account.
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Select the updated
.zipand click Install Now. - When prompted, choose Replace current with uploaded.
Done! You are now using the latest version of Animated Message Scheduler for Elementor.

- Drag and drop the Typing Effect Widget onto the desired section.
- Customize the text, animations, and appearance from the widget settings.

- Glow Blink: The glow effect blinks at set intervals. You can adjust the blinking time.
- Glow by Word: The text glows word by word. You can set the speed of transition between words and a pause before restarting.
- Hover Interaction: You can choose whether the effect stops when the user hovers over the text.
- Effect Combination: Effects can be combined, but in certain cases, not all selected effects will overlap perfectly.
- Effect Loading: Effects will only load when they appear in the user’s viewport.
Scheduling Messages
- Enable Scheduled Messages: Toggle to set different texts based on the time.
- Daily Intervals: Set text to appear at specific hours daily. The selected time zone for scheduling is relative to the server time.
- New in version 1.1: You can now choose the specific days of the week when the message should appear (e.g. Monday, Friday). If no day is selected, it will apply to all days by default.
- Date-Based Scheduling: Choose specific start and end dates for custom messages.
Content & Formatting
- Text Formatting: HTML characters are not supported in the content field.
- New Lines: To create a new line in the text, simply press Enter.
